Filing Deadline Extension
The filing deadline for VETS100 and/or 100A report(s) in the 2012 cycle was extended to October 31, 2012.
All paper reports and electronic files received at the Service Desk by October 31st will be included as part of the 2012 filing cycle and will not be considered late.
Under the Vietnam Era Veteran’s Readjustment Assistance Act of 1976 (VEVRAA), as amended, federal contractors and subcontractors are required to report annually to the Secretary of Labor by September 30th (2012 date extended to October 31), the number of employees within their workforces who belong to the categories of veterans covered under the affirmative action provisions of the Act.
VETS 100
If you have a federal contract or subcontract of $25,000 or more that was entered into before December 1, 2003, you must file the VETS 100.
You must report the number employees and number of new hires during the reporting period who are:
- special disabled veterans
- veterans of the Vietnam War
- other protected veterans (who served on active duty in the U.S. military during a war or campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge is awarded)
- recently separated veterans (veterans within 12 months from discharge or release from active duty)
VETS 100A
If you have a Federal Contract or subcontract of $100,000 or more awarded or modified on or after December 1, 2003, you must file the VETS 100A.
You must report the number employees and number of new hires during the reporting period who are:
- disabled veterans
- other protected veterans (who served on active duty in the U.S. military during a war or campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge is awarded)
- Armed Forces service medal veteran
- recently separated veterans (veterans within 12 months from discharge or release from active duty)
Please note: If you have a contract that meets the criteria of both the VETS 100 and VETS 100A, you must file the VETS 100 and the VETS 100A.
