We are delighted to report that the National Industry Liaison Group (NILG) has announced that the 2020 National Conference, which was previously cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic, is being re-imagined as a virtual webinar event to run in July and August!
Accordingly, the alternative BCGi July “Special” Summit is cancelled.
As noted in the NILG announcement, linked here, details regarding dates, presentations, and registration will be coming soon.
That said, one detail about which the announcement is clear is that the 2020 NILG programming will be free, which should allow many more people to participate who couldn’t afford the time and/or expense of the in-person conference.
BCGi commends the members of 2020 NILG Planning Committee and the NILG Board for hearing the concerns of the compliance community and answering the call. The pivot to a virtual conference is no simple matter for such a large and complex organization, much less for such a large and complex event. BCGi would like to offer our support in any way we can to help make this conference a success.
So keep your calendars as clear as you can for July and August, because the 2020 NILG Virtual Conference is bound to be an event you do not want to miss!
In the meantime, the “regular” BCGi Summit is THIS WEEK, but there is still time to register!
Join us Wednesday, April 29 – Friday, May 1 from your computer for a new kind of three-day training and education event hosted by BCGi. Each day will actually be a half-day event (4 hours, give or take) to accommodate time zones from coast-to-coast: 1:PM – 5:PM on the East Coast; 10:AM – 2:PM on the West Coast.
Day One will consist entirely of BCGi’s re-designed AAP “Boot Camp” for beginners and you “old hats” in need of a refresher. Attendees will step through all of the “to-dos” that have to get “to-done” in order to implement a compliant and effective affirmative action program. And we’ll take a deeper dive into the heart of the AAP— the comparison of incumbency to availability and setting placement goals. Finally, Boot Camp attendees will learn how to use BCGi’s exclusive Action-Oriented Programs Worksheets to develop more meaningful, effective, and compliant action plans.
Day Two will showcase our guest speakers:
Attorney Marilyn Schuyler will take a deep dive into the OFCCP’s new Technical Assistance Guide for Educational Institutions.
Sheridan Walker, CEO of Hire Potential, will discuss the practical realities of disability nondiscrimination and inclusion in these quickly changing and uncertain times, and how to make sure our friends with disabilities are not disproportionately impacted.
Joyce McCulloch, most recently of PG&E and now the CEO of Ai Inclusion, will lend us her expertise in executive communications to move from explaining AAP details to gaining meaningful commitment.
Day Three will feature BCGi Director Matt Nusbaum with an all-new presentation on how to talk about affirmative action. Then Dr. Dan Kuang, BCGi Vice President of Diversity, Compliance, and People Analytics will entertain and amaze us regarding the ever-moving target of compensation analyses.
Registration Options:
- All 3 Days – $500 per attendee
- Days 2 & 3 Only – $375 per attendee
- Day 1 AAP Boot Camp Only – $175 per attendee
BCGi “In-Depth” and “Open Access” members enjoy a 20% discount.
