Kudos to the 2018 Industry Liaison Group national conference committee for putting on a successful National Conference. The conference was July 31 – August 3 at the Anaheim Marriott, just a few blocks from Disneyland. Attendance appeared to be on par with previous years, and the topics ranged from Fundamentals of Affirmative Action Planning, Pay Equity, and Diversity, to the hottest “topic du jour,” Implicit Bias. As many blogs have already recapped the conference and its various workshops, this blog will take a somewhat different approach, and simply highlight, unapologetically, Biddle’s presence at the conference.
Biddle has participated as an exhibitor at the ILG national conference for years, and for the first time this year, TestGenius® shared the spotlight in our booth. It is with pride that we wanted to remind contractors that we are more than a top-tier affirmative action planning service and software (myAAP) provider—we are a one-stop shop for employers’ EEO needs, with services ranging from Affirmative
Action Plan development software and services, OFCCP audit support, compensation equity analytics and software, diversity reporting, job analysis, test validation, and with the release of TestGenius®, developers and providers of validated online pre-employment tests. Our TestGenius® ambassador at the booth, Danny Thompson, was more than happy to entertain the steady stream of traffic coming to talk about this exciting new product.
Via Plinko, we gave away fun gadgets such as phone holders, stress balls, phone pop sockets, and water canteens, as well as Biddle’s (not so fun, but arguably more useful) adverse impact and compensation analysis books. The game was managed by the (charismatic and energetic) duo of James Pickett and Dee Wiley, who appeared to be
having more and more fun with every person who stopped by. On Wednesday night, the Biddle crew had the pleasure of relaxing with 40+ friends and clients at our sponsored dinner held at The 5th, a rooftop restaurant directly across from the entrance to Disneyland. With very few work-related conversations, we enjoyed relaxing, eating great food, and dancing to live music while watching the night’s Disney fireworks display at eye-level. On Thursday, as the conference began winding down, Biddle announced the winners of the Google Home bundle and Bose Wireless Headphones at the exhibitors’ hall.
Congratulations to: our staff for having four (4) presentations at this year’s conference, the winners of the Plinko Challenge, the conference committee for orchestrating yet another wonderful experience, the volunteers who did a wonderful job ensuring we all had an organized, fun, and informative time, and especially, all attendees who returned to their places of work having benefitted by attending the conference and learning how to best navigate the waves of change. See you all again next year!
