The 2020 BCG Impact Scholarship has been awarded to Tessa Van Vliet, a recent graduate of Rosemont High School in the Sacramento area.
Biddle Consulting Group, Inc. (BCG), one of the nation’s leading providers of consulting services regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, created the annual “BCG Impact Scholarship” this year to be awarded each year to a graduating high school senior.
We are looking for students with a demonstrable history of social and/or economic justice advocacy who intend to continue their education past high school. BCG will select one student each year to receive an award of $2,500, which is meant to defray education costs and allow the student to focus more energy and resources on their continued advocacy efforts.
Applicants were asked to submit an essay detailing:
- Their past advocacy interests and activities, including how they became interested in their particular cause(s);
- Their future plans/hopes for continued advocacy initiatives; and
- How the Impact Scholarship would allow them to continue their advocacy.
The next BCG Impact Scholarship application deadline is April 2021. Go to www.biddle.com/bcg-impact-scholarship.html for qualification requirements and submission guidelines.
