Last week, Dr. Jim Kuthy spoke to members of the Personnel Testing Council of Northern California<\/a> during a monthly training forum held at the Department of Justice in Sacramento.<\/p>\n

Jim’s presentation, Performance Appraisals and Terminations: Best Practices,<\/em> discussed one of the most highly contested areas of litigation – employees who have been terminated based solely on their poor performance. In today’s economy, it’s known that the odds of court litigation have dramatically increased as the number of jobs available has decreased. Jim’s timely session focused on court-accepted practices that are more likely to result in performance-based termination decisions being upheld. Also, he highlighted those actions that employers should avoid when making termination decisions based on poor performance.<\/p>\n
