As we previously reported, the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor has published proposed regulations implementing Executive Order 14026, “Increasing the Minimum Wage for Federal Contractors.” The agency must solicit, review, and consider public comments before submitting the proposed regulations to the White House Office of Management and Budget for final approval.
Originally, the deadline for comments was Monday, August 23, 2021, giving the public just 30 days to file. Now, however, the deadline has been extended all the way to Friday, August 27, 2021. That’s right, you now have four whole extra days to file comments on over 200 pages of proposed regulations.
If you intend to file comments, you are encouraged to do so electronically. All the information you need can be found here.
And, of course, if you have any questions about this or any other OFCCP matter, contact us at BCGi@Biddle.com.
