Are you Ready to File Your EEO-1 Component 2 Report?

August 22, 2019 By Marife Ramos

The deadline for filing EEO-1 Component 2 is fast approaching. Private employers and federal contractors with 100 employees or more are required to file wage and hours worked information by September 30, 2019. Wage and hours worked data must be reported by gender and race/ethnicity within the pre-determined 12 pay bands within each EEO-1 job classification. During this filing period, employers are required to electronically file both their 2017 and 2018 data.

The EEO-1 report, currently referred to as Component 1, is an annual survey required by the EEOC. Through a court order, Component 2 of the report is only being implemented for the first time this year (please see related EEO-1 Component 2 articles here), hence, it is not surprising that uncertainties exist regarding what to do and how to go about filing the data.

We are here to help. Biddle Consulting Group (BCG) has been assisting employers, including federal contractors, in addressing their annual filing and reporting obligations. BCG’s services extend from AAP development to filing EEO-1 Reports (for both Components 1 and 2), VETS-4212, and state-mandated surveys. Our experts will help you to navigate the different reporting requirements, prepare, and certify the necessary reports. Additionally, our experts will ensure that you are provided with essential feedback so you can address some of the observed potential issues on your data.
